History of Malcolm X Park in Washington, DC

According to my research, “Malcolm X Park, located in Washington, D.C., is a significant public space that carries a rich historical narrative intertwined with the civil rights movement and the African American experience. Originally known as Meridian Hill Park, this area was established in the late 19th century and was designed in the Beaux-Arts style, featuring cascading fountains, statues, and expansive green spaces. Over the years, the park has served as a gathering place for various community events, protests, and cultural celebrations, reflecting the evolving social dynamics of the neighborhood and the broader struggles for racial equality in the United States. In the 1960s, the park became a focal point for civil rights activism, particularly among African American communities. It was during this time that the park was informally renamed Malcolm X Park, in honor of the influential civil rights leader Malcolm X, who advocated for black empowerment and social justice. ...

Dating Ethics

Dating co-workers in professional work settings is inappropriate. When employers hired me to provide a specific service from 1980- 2016, I will always remain professional. I do not believe in dating my former co-workers of the opposite sex. I will remove myself from the setting first when I have noticed that I developed such attraction. Making a bet and bribing co-workers to go against their standards is unethical. If you have an interest in me, then you should have asked for my contact information. Numerous people do not know me at all. Contact me only by phone at 202-384-5925 Preference - single straight male over the age of 30 I no longer provide educational, career day and free services. It is not the past and I am not interested in dating women nor boys.

"The 2022 movie Ask Me to Dance"

“The 2022 movie Ask Me to Dance is about finding someone who sees life the same way you do, and not trying to change you. It features a mature approach to romantic comedy, with a gentle and unassuming encounter between the two main characters.  Here are some other things to know about the movie:  The movie stars Mario Cantone as Patrick, and Briana Evigan and Tom Malloy as the two main characters. The movie features great dancing throughout. The movie avoids juvenile gags, and instead focuses on the exaggerated eccentricities of the characters. The movie features a bipolar reality TV star who is working towards starring in a celebrity rehab show. The movie features a "psycho girl" who quickly becomes a wedding problem.” I was drawn to this movie for the title. The title fits the entirety of the movie. I was asked to dance for numerous people who operated companies and dance studios from the 1980s - 2016. I have not provided any dance services since 2016.

Among them include Shall We Dance, The Christmas Dance, Footloose (1984) and The Christmas Ball. Barefoot in the park

Barefoot in the park was a movie that I saw briefly and did not continue watching. Ironically, I have danced barefooted in numerous parks and have not returned back since I was last hired. “Walking without shoes in the park offers a unique and liberating experience, allowing individuals to connect more intimately with the natural environment. The sensation of grass, soil, or gravel beneath one's feet can evoke a sense of freedom and grounding, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the outdoor setting. This practice not only encourages a deeper appreciation for the textures of nature but also promotes mindfulness, as one becomes more aware of their surroundings and the simple pleasures of being outdoors.”

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays. Digital art created on canvas. November 23, 2024. Afrika Abney The holiday season has always been a time for warmth and connection, a cherished opportunity to gather among friends and loved ones. It's a season marked by the sharing of genuine memories and meaningful conversations, where the focus shifts away from gossip, manipulation, and the mind games that can often threaten to sabotage relationships. Instead, the spirit of the holidays emphasizes kindness and understanding, Reflecting on my own experiences during this season, I recall vividly how I spent my time providing both pro bono and paid services at local churches, serving meals to those in need. Each plate I handed out wasn’t just food; it was a moment of connection, a shared smile, a fleeting yet impactful memory etched in time. Alongside this, I poured my creativity into making homemade cards and gifting my artwork, each piece handcrafted with love to spread joy in simple yet profound ways. Eac...

Awareness Unleashed

Quote found on the Internet The name calling is uncalled for. For those that are unaware, I was 4 - 13 from 1980 - 1989. In order for someone to become aware of something they have to be introduced to the subject at hand.  “Ronald Reagan's influence on the dance industry can be traced through various cultural and political initiatives that shaped the arts during his presidency. His administration emphasized the importance of the arts as a vital component of American culture, which indirectly benefited the dance sector. By promoting policies that supported the National Endowment for the Arts, Reagan helped secure funding for numerous dance companies and programs, allowing them to flourish and reach wider audiences. This support not only provided financial resources but also elevated the status of dance as a legitimate and respected art form within the broader cultural landscape. Additionally, Reagan's presidency coincided with a period of significant change in the dance indus...

The concept of professional depth in dance

“The concept of professional depth in dance encompasses a profound understanding and execution of various dance forms, techniques, and styles. It signifies not only the technical proficiency of a dancer but also their ability to convey emotion and narrative through movement. This depth is achieved through rigorous training, extensive practice, and a commitment to exploring the intricacies of body mechanics, rhythm, and expression. Dancers who embody this professional depth are often able to engage audiences on a deeper level, transforming mere performance into an evocative experience. Ultimately, professional depth in dance is characterized by a dancer's ability to connect with their audience and convey complex emotions through their movements. Through dedication and passion, dancers can achieve a level of professionalism that resonates deeply within the art form.” Professional Dance Consultant Goals https://afrikaabneydanceconsult.blogspot.com/2024/08/professional-dance-consulta...

Youtube Channel

“My YouTube channel, which was unexpectedly removed yesterday, had no violations or issues that warranted such action. I have dedicated my time to sharing my consulting services through this platform. The abrupt removal of my channel has left me perplexed and frustrated, as I have always adhered to the community guidelines and worked diligently to build a positive presence.” Whomever thinks that these types of experiences are humorous are mistaken. I have been providing services as a consultant since I was 15 years old and as an African - American, I am quite frankly tired of experiencing discrimination which I have been experiencing for over 30 years.
