"African dances are performed in lines or circles of dancers. The body is used asymmetrically. All parts of the body articulate in African dance; arms, legs, and torso all appearing angular, bent, the body slightly forward. Shoulder and hip movement are notable."

From 2009 - 2015, I went to Malcolm X Park. I have thrown away the clothing articles and jewelry in this photo and many other photographs of me when I was at the park. I left the park in 2015 and have not returned back since 2015.
Drums are the main instruments in african dance. "Drums are the basic instrument for most African music. Each group of people uses a special type of its own. Though mostly of wood, drums can be gourds, turtle shells and clay pots. Drums have many uses in Africa."
