When I was a student, I studied numerous dance styles. Some of them include African dance and ballet. Years later, I have experience in dance instruction for Afrobeats and Samba Fusions.
“African dance (also Afro dance, Afrodance and Afro-dance) refers to the various dance styles of sub-Saharan Africa. These dances are closely connected with the traditional rhythms and music traditions of the region.”
“Afrobeats, the name was partially born out of an attempt to distinguish Fela Kuti's music from the soul music of American artists such as James Brown. Prevalent in his and Lagbaja's music are native Nigerian harmonies and rhythms, taking contrasting elements and combining, modernizing, and improvising upon them.”
“Samba, the vibrant music of Brazil, is a fusion of musical influences ranging from native South American folk music to the African diaspora and Portuguese military traditions.”
I have a solid foundation in diverse choreography and movements. I have successfully taught and promoted the rich cultural heritage of these genres. My background includes extensive study of traditional and contemporary dance forms, allowing me to create engaging and educational experiences for students. Passionate about sharing the energy and rhythms of global dance, I strive to inspire others through movement.
